It has been a very busy time for your BBB over the past few months. We held document shredding events in several locations for consumers and small businesses, and we had a great response to our seminars on the Health Care Reform Act and Cyber Security Protection. In November, there was a retreat for all BBB employees. This gave the staff from our four locations: Omaha, Lincoln, Sioux Falls and Wichita a chance to meet and work together. It was well-received by all the participants.
Throughout the year, your BBB conducted a record number of investigations on scams, helped both businesses and consumers resolve complaints, represented the BBB at trade shows, issued alerts and consumer tips, produced three different Accredited Business Directories in print and online for consumers in Nebraska and Southwest Iowa, South Dakota and The Kansas Plains, awarded integrity, protected and educated seniors and promoted ethical business practices - it all adds up to a great 2013.
On a final note, I am pleased to let you know that this BBB now boasts nearly 10,000 Accredited Businesses supporting our vision for helping create a more ethical marketplace. I would like to say bravo and thank-you to our BBB team for building opportunities for our Accredited Businesses and continuing to make our BBB an organization that is succeeding at its mission of advancing marketplace trust! I hope you are as proud as I am to be associated with one of the largest and most influential BBBs in North America.
