“BBB is pleased to bring organizations from Kansas into our Integrity Awards program. In today’s challenging economic climate and complex world, honesty and integrity are more important than ever. This year’s Winners represent what is best about business in the state of Kansas. These organizations have solid business practices, based on a commitment to serve their customers with the highest standard of ethics. They have built successful companies because of the trust that has been established, and the BBB Integrity Awards recognize their leadership in their communities,” stated Jim Hegarty, BBB president and CEO.
Four Kansas organizations were presented with a 2013 BBB Integrity Award. They are: Pioneer Services, Military Division of MidCountry Bank, Junction City; Collision Specialists CARSTAR, Wichita and Protection 1, Wichita. In addition, Housing and Credit Counseling, Inc., Topeka was selected in the Charity Category. These organizations range in size from less than 5 employees to over 150+ employees.
BBB Kansas State Director Denise Groene added, “The Integrity Award’s judges felt that the overall quality of one other Integrity Award candidate, Clark Wellness Company from Salina, demonstrated, through the application process, that they also placed a high priority on honesty and integrity in the work place. They were recognized with an Ambassador of Integrity certificate for significant commitment to ethical business practices.”
BBB believes that communities, committed to ethical business principles, coupled with an educated and informed public, are the keys to fairness and honesty. Jim Hegarty, BBB president and CEO remarked, “Winning a BBB Integrity Award is a prestigious honor. The organizations selected by independent panels of judges for awards this year have earned the trust and respect of their customers, employees, vendors and community at-large. These companies are to be congratulated for their commitment to ethical business practices. They model the way for all businesses.”
